Ilona Ekkebus

HR Director, Legal & Administration at Boost Group

Ilona Ekkebus has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Ilona started their career as a Stewardess at Premier Cruise Lines in 1992, followed by temporary jobs in different positions in 1992-1993. Ilona then worked as an Office Manager at Neckermann.com from 1993 to 1997. After that, they joined Nebus Loyalty BV, where they served as an Office Manager from 1997 to 2000 and later as an HR Consultant from 2001 to 2007. In 2008, they joined Boost Group, an international marketing company, as the Head of Human Resources & Facilities. Ilona was responsible for all tactical and strategic international HR issues within the organization, as well as general affairs and facilities. In 2012, Ekkebus took a sabbatical leave and traveled around the world, returning to Boost Group afterward as the HR Director, Legal & Administration.

Ilona Ekkebus has a diverse education history. In 1984, they completed their HAVO degree at Zeldenrust College. Following this, from 1989 to 1990, they attended Schoevers and earned a degree in Directie Secretaresse. In 2002, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in HBO Personeelsmanagement, specializing in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, at Avans University of Applied Sciences, which they completed in 2006. Later, they obtained another Bachelor's degree in HBO Personeel & Arbeid from 2007 to 2009, focusing on arbeidsrecht en sociale zekerheid. Ilona then attended Avans+ in 2014 and successfully completed an Update Arbeidsrecht program. Additionally, they pursued further education in Arbeidsrecht from Avans+ in 2015. Lastly, in 2022, they attended a Summercourse Arbeidsrecht to expand their knowledge in that field.
