José Lorenzo Rodríguez Urdaneta

José Lorenzo Rodríguez Urdaneta has a diverse range of work experience in the technology industry. José Lorenzo started their career as a Project Leader at CNTI in 2008, where they worked until 2009. From 2009 to 2010, José worked as a Software Engineer at E Servicios AT. Following this, they joined Cake Development Corporation as a Software Engineer from 2010 to 2012.

In 2012, José joined Nodes as a Senior Developer, where they led a team in creating new features and provided training sessions and workshops. During their time at Nodes, they also worked on the development and maintenance of the Crowdit mobile application.

From 2013 to 2017, José worked at Bownty as a Developer, contributing to the growth and success of the startup. Simultaneously, they pursued their hobby of developing CakePHP as the CakePHP Lead Developer from 2009 to 2017.

José's passion for entrepreneurship led him to co-found Tripmate in 2016, a tourism marketplace for Latin America. José Lorenzo served as the Technology Lead for Tripmate until 2017.

In 2017, José joined SeatGeek as a Site Reliability Engineer, contributing to the improvement of the ticketing platform's speed and reliability. José Lorenzo then took on the role of a Platform Engineering Manager, where they focused on enhancing development efficiency by implementing automation, standardization, and coaching. Finally, they served as a Senior Engineering Manager at SeatGeek.

José's most recent position is the Director of Engineering at Boozt, a leading Nordic technology company selling fashion online.

José Lorenzo Rodríguez Urdaneta completed their education from 2002 to 2008 at Universidad Simón Bolívar. José Lorenzo obtained a degree in Ingeniería, specializing in Ingeniero en Computación.
