Nick Vaughn

Nick Vaughn serves as the VP and General Counsel at Border States since July 2018, after holding roles as Director of Legal and Managing Counsel and Senior In House Counsel and Director of Employee Relations. Prior experience includes serving as Assistant Attorney General for the North Dakota Attorney General's office from August 2015 to July 2018, providing general counsel to the North Dakota State Board of Higher Education and the North Dakota University System. Earlier roles also include Assistant Director of Employee Relations and Employee Relations Advisor at American University and Staff Attorney at the Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development. Educational qualifications include a JD from the Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University and a BA in History and Political Science from Vanderbilt University.
