Chris McArdle

Chris McArdle has held various roles throughout their work experience. Chris currently holds the position of Vice President Strategy at Borealis since 2020. Chris is also a Member of the Board of Directors at Renasci Oostende, a Member of the Shareholder Board at BlueAlp, and a Member of the Shareholder Committee at Recelerate GmbH, all since 2023. Chris is also a Member of the Board of Directors at Bockatech since 2021 and a Steering Board Member at Polyolefin Circular Economy Platform (PCEP) since 2021. Chris served as a Board Member at DePoly from 2020 until 2023. Prior to these roles, Chris worked at The Dow Chemical Company as EMEAI Commercial Director and Group Marketing Director and at DuPont in various roles, including Regional Business Director, Global Marketing Director, Global Strategic Planning Manager, Regional Sales & Marketing Manager, Global Product Line Manager, 6 Sigma Black Belt, and Product & Application Development Scientist. Chris started their career as a Research Scientist at DuPont in 2001.

Chris McArdle has a strong educational background in Chemistry. They completed their BSc in Chemistry at the University of Bristol from 1992 to 1995. They then pursued further studies and obtained a PhD in Chemistry from the same institution from 1995 to 1998. Following this, Chris completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Chemistry at Western University from 1999 to 2001. In addition to their academic qualifications, Chris obtained certifications in Business Sustainability Management from the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership in 2020, and in CEB Marketing Excellence from CEB, now Gartner, in 2018.
