Rob Pieters has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of project management. Rob started their career as a Plant E&I Engineer at BASF in 1995, followed by working as a Lead Instrument & Electrical Engineer at Procter & Gamble from 1997 to 2002. Afterward, they served as a Project Engineer at Petroplus from 2002 to 2004 and then moved on to McDermott International, Ltd as a Project Engineer from 2005 to 2007.
In 2007, Rob joined Wood as a Project Manager, where they worked until 2011. During their time at Wood, they gained valuable experience in project management.
From 2011 to 2016, Rob worked at SIBUR, first as a Project Director for the ZAPSIB-2 Polyethylene and Polypropylene Plant Projects in Tobolsk. Subsequently, they became the Deputy Project Director for the Amur GPP program, where they managed the licensed units responsible for ethane and NGL extraction, nitrogen rejection, helium purification, liquefaction, and storage.
Since 2018, Rob has been working at Borealis as a Senior Project Director. It is their current role, and they hold extensive experience in managing projects within the company.
Rob Pieters has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences, Vlissingen (The Netherlands), which they obtained from 1990 to 1995. Rob also holds a Master's degree in Project Management from The University of Manchester, which they earned between 2009 and 2012. In addition, they have completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Oil and Gas management from Robert Gordon University from 2013 to 2016.
