Tanja Piel

Tanja Piel has extensive work experience in the chemical industry. Tanja started their career in 2007 at Borealis as a Development Engineer, where they worked until 2009. Tanja then transitioned to the role of Researcher, working on various projects until 2018. In 2018, Tanja joined Borouge as a Lead Product Development Engineer, contributing to product innovation until 2020. Tanja later returned to Borealis in 2023 to become the Lead Innovation Project Manager, utilizing their expertise in managing and overseeing innovative projects.

Tanja Piel earned a PhD in Polymer Technology from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan between 2001 and 2007. Prior to that, they obtained an MSc. in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Helsinki from 1995 to 2001. In addition, Tanja has certifications in Project Management, including a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute acquired in 2019, and a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) obtained in July 2018.
