Vera Novy

Vera Novy is a researcher at Borregaard since January 2023, specializing in wood-based niche products within the Industrial Biotechnology group at Chalmers University of Technology. Prior to this, Vera Novy was a postdoctoral researcher at Chalmers from September 2019 to January 2023. Vera Novy also held a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of British Columbia from September 2017 to November 2019, addressing the research gap between enzymology/microbiology and wood chemistry. Additional experience includes a visiting scholar position at the Forest Product Laboratories under the US Department of Agriculture, research associate at Lund University, and a university assistant role during PhD studies at Graz University of Technology. Vera Novy earned a Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering from Graz University of Technology, as well as a Master of Science in Biotechnology and Bachelor of Science degrees in both Biotechnology and Environmental and Biotechnology Engineering.
