Nigel Skeels

Nigel Skeels has a strong background in web development and design, with over 20 years of experience in the industry. Nigel most recently worked at Borrow A Boat as a Lead Frontend Developer, where they were responsible for developing the web marketplace for boat rentals. Prior to that, they worked at Bizie Limited as a Javascript UI Developer, specializing in complex event-driven systems and working with investment banks and financial institutions.

Before their role at Bizie Limited, Nigel worked at TraderLynk / Option Computers as a UI Designer/Developer, providing trading and business intelligence solutions to global financial markets. Nigel also has experience as a UI Developer at Wowcher, DMGT Media, where they worked on frontend web and mobile development for various consumer websites and daily deals platforms.

Nigel has also held positions at Menzies Distribution as the Head of Creative Development, Redwood Publishing as a Senior Flash Developer (Freelance), Hearst Digital as a Senior Commercial Designer, Dennis Publishing as a Senior Multimedia Designer, and Crafts Council as a Web and Systems Support Officer.

Throughout their career, Nigel has demonstrated expertise in HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, Jquery, and various other web development tools and technologies. Nigel is experienced in generating creative ideas, concepts, and prototypes, and has a strong understanding of UX/UI development and agile web development methodologies.

Nigel Skeels attended London Metropolitan University from 1999 to 2001. During this time, they pursued a First Class BSc degree in Multimedia Systems with Fine Art.
