Yuya Iwabuchi

Yuya Iwabuchi has over seven years of experience in software engineering and development. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Co-op Middleware Support at TELUS, where they designed and tested shell scripts to increase team efficiency. From 2015 to 2017, they worked at Blanc Labs as a Software Engineer and Sr. Software Engineer, where they worked closely with the client and product manager to define solutions and lead the development through agile methodologies. From 2016 to 2020, they worked at Scotiabank as a Mobile Application Developer, where they designed and developed web applications using React.js with Redux and designed and developed REST APIs using Ruby on Rails. From 2020 to 2022, they worked at Reklaim as a Solutions Architect and Team Lead, where they performed technical explorations and solutioning of upcoming features and led a full-stack team of five. Currently, they are working at Borrowell as a Sr. Full Stack Developer and Tech Lead.

Yuya Iwabuchi obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Toronto between 2012 and 2017. Yuya also holds a Canadian Computing Competition - Top Quartile certification from the University of Waterloo.
