Hilora Dewett has a diverse work experience across different industries. In 2013, they began their career at PetSmart as a Customer Service Specialist. Hilora excelled in a fast-paced environment, resolving customer disputes and inquiries to ensure customer satisfaction. After leaving PetSmart in 2015, they joined Bickford Park Animal Hospital as a Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant. Hilora'sresponsibilities included simplifying scientific communication between clients and doctors, as well as serving as a liaison between the clinic and other organizations. In 2019, Hilora joined Spadina Animal Hospital as an Administrative Assistant/Veterinary Assistant. Hilora'srole involved building strong connections with clients, learning and utilizing AVImark software, and maintaining client records while adhering to confidentiality requirements. Currently, Hilora is working as a Developer Advocate at Boss Insights, starting in March 2023. No end date is specified for this role.

Hilora Dewett is currently pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Toronto. Hilora is expected to complete this degree in 2021. In 2022, Hilora enrolled in Lighthouse Labs to obtain a diploma in Web Development, which they are scheduled to complete in 2023.

Additionally, Hilora has obtained various certifications. In September 2022, they became an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner through Amazon Web Services (AWS). Hilora also completed the AWS re/Start program and obtained the associated certification in August 2022. Furthermore, Hilora obtained a certification in Graphic Design and Web Development from UforChange in May 2022.

In the future, Hilora plans to pursue an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Lassonde School of Engineering at York University, with an expected completion date in 2026.
