Heather Spence

Heather Spence is a marine biologist and co-founder of Ocean World of Sound, with extensive experience in marine and science advisory roles. Currently serving as a Marine and Science Advisor for Boston Government Services, LLC, Heather has previously held positions as a consultant for the Department of Energy and various organizations focused on marine conservation and research. With a PhD in Biopsychology and Behavioral Neuroscience from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, and a strong background in marine biology, Heather's work encompasses areas such as environmental monitoring, acoustics, fish behavior, and the integration of marine energy technologies. In addition, Heather has contributed to projects with Michelle's Earth Foundation, Comision Nacional de Areas Naturales Protegidas in Mexico, and the U.S. Department of Energy, showcasing a commitment to research and outreach in marine and environmental sciences.
