Yash Dave

Associate Project Manager at Boston Scientific

Yash Dave is currently an Associate Project Manager at Boston Scientific. Dave previously worked as a Plastics SME/Industrialization Lead at Philips Healthcare R&D from March 2014 to August 2019. In this role, Dave was a subject matter expert on polymer materials and manufacturing for the Interventional Radiology team at the Healthcare Innovation Center in India. Dave also mentored product designers on plastics and rubber part design and material selection tasks, and led cross functional reviews on DFM and DFA. Additionally, Dave developed, implemented and scaled up secondary processes such as paint application, FIM gaskets, post molded fasteners and assembly fixtures.

Dave also worked with local mold shops and Chinese tool makers on tool design and flow simulation. Yash optimized manufacturing parameters based on simulation and validated these results on the machine. Dave also assisted Philips manufacturing with volume ramp-up and provided solutions to assembly/quality issues on the production line. Additionally, they worked with the team in Best, Netherlands to validate system level integration builds.

Yash Dave attended a post graduate program in corporate entrepreneurship and innovation at Symbiosis International University. Yash then went on to study plastics engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, before completing a BE in polymer engineering at Savitribai Phule Pune University. Dave finally completed a BE in polymer engineering at Maharashtra Institute of Technology.
