Kathleen Donahue is the current Controller at the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Kathleen has been in this position since November 2017. Prior to that, they were the Vice President, Controller at City Year from October 2005 to November 2017. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of finance for the organization, including overseeing all fiscal operations and reporting directly to the CFO. Kathleen also redesigned the accounting systems by integrating disparate systems and processes into one integrated service model.
Before their time at City Year, Kathleen was the Assistant Controller at City Year from October 2005 to November 2007. In this role, they were responsible for preparing monthly financial statements and reviewing trial balances. Kathleen also ensured accuracy and compliance with GAAP of all revenue recording.
Kathleen has a long history of working in finance and accounting roles. Kathleen has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts and is a Certified Public Accountant.
