Jasmin Patel

VP for Strategy & Innovation at Boston University

Jasmin Patel currently serves as the Vice President for Strategy and Innovation at Boston University since August 2024. Prior to this role, Jasmin held the position of Associate Vice President for Research and Chief of Staff at Saint Louis University from September 2016 to July 2024, managing all aspects of the research enterprise with oversight of over 100 staff and $130 million in funding. Jasmin's earlier experience at the University of Chicago included roles as Chief of Staff for the Research Computing Center, Executive Director of Arete: A Research Accelerator, and Clinical Research Associate, where involvement spanned high-end research computing, institutional support for extensive research initiatives, and clinical trial management. Jasmin's educational background includes an MBA in Strategic Management, Economics, and Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Ph.D. in Education from Saint Louis University (anticipated 2024), a certificate in Clinical Trials Management and Regulatory Compliance from the University of Chicago Graham School, and a B.S. in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
