Judith Sandonato

As Chief of Staff to the University Provost, Judith Sandonato provides oversight for the affairs and activities of the Provost’s Office and coordinates a range of projects. She facilitates the flow of information and communications with the schools, colleges, and administrative units across the University, as well as with the University Advisory Board and the Academic Affairs and Student Affairs Committees of the Board of Trustees. In addition, she works closely with the deans, administrative leaders, and associate provosts to ensure that the Provost’s strategic and operational priorities are progressing effectively.

Judith joined the Provost’s Office in May 2022. She previously served in the Office of the President as Deputy Chief of Staff, gaining a wealth of experience working collaboratively with senior leadership in the schools, colleges, and administrative units across the University, to facilitate the flow of information and navigate complex and sensitive issues. Judith has served as staff liaison to many University ad-hoc and standing committees, including the COVID-related Augmented Budget Committee and Medical Advisory Group, the Board of Trustees Advisory Committee on Socially Responsible Investing, a college strategic planning committee, and a senior vice president search committee. Judith was a member of the 2017-2018 Choose to Lead Management Training Program cohort.

Prior to joining the Office of the President, Judith was Associate Director of Event Services at Events & Conferences. She received her BA in communication sciences from the University of Connecticut.
