Jocelyn G. Olvera is a Graduate Student Researcher pursuing a PhD in Biological Sciences at UC San Diego, with a research focus on immunology and genomic medicine. Prior experience includes roles as an Immunology Research Assistant at UCSD Health Sciences, and various positions at the University of California, San Diego - School of Medicine, where significant contributions were made in single-cell RNA sequencing and immune cell research related to ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. Jocelyn also participated in funded undergraduate research programs, investigating glycolytic gene expression in CD8+ T cells, and has held laboratory assistant positions at California State University San Marcos, Michigan State University, and Palomar College, gaining extensive technical expertise throughout academic and professional endeavors.
