M.tech Dr.saji Vasudevan D.sc.

Dr. Saji Vasudevan has a strong background in operational excellence and quality management in the pharmaceutical industry. Dr.Saji currently holds the position of Vice President - Operational Excellence at Botanic Healthcare, where they are responsible for overseeing operational efficiency in the company. Prior to this, they served as the General Manager - System Improvements at the same company.

Before joining Botanic Healthcare, Dr. Vasudevan worked at Wealthway Auxiliary Training Private Limited as an Associate Director/Lead in OPEXL & Business Development. In this role, they managed a group of professionals in the marketing and sales team and was responsible for identifying opportunities for accelerated growth.

Earlier in their career, Dr. Vasudevan held various positions at Syngene International Limited and British Biologicals. At Syngene, they served as the Group Leader - Quality & Excellence and Section Head - Quality & Excellence, where they managed strategic and operational excellence in the quality department and oversaw multifaceted projects. At British Biologicals, they were the Group Head/Manager - Quality & Compliance, leading the quality function and formulation development at multiple sites.

Dr. Vasudevan's extensive work experience also includes roles at Biocon, where they served as an Assistant Manager - Corporate Quality System, Senior Executive - Quality Control, Executive - Quality Control, and Management Trainee - Quality Control. In these roles, they managed quality systems, conducted analysis and reporting of various materials, and conducted product and process investigations.

Overall, Dr. Saji Vasudevan's work experience highlights their expertise in operational excellence, quality management, and leadership in the pharmaceutical industry.

Dr. Saji Vasudevan holds a Doctorate in Management Studies with a specialization in Biotechnology Management, which they obtained from the Indian School of Management & Studies between 2016 and 2018. Dr.Saji also completed a Master of Technology (MTech) in Chemical Engineering at Kalinga University, Raipur from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, Dr. Vasudevan pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing & TQM with dual specialization in Total Quality Management and Marketing Management at Karnataka State Open University from 2013 to 2014. Dr.Saji also holds a Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Chemistry from Kuvempu University.

In addition to their formal education, Dr. Vasudevan has obtained several certifications. These include "Internal Auditor as per ISO 9001:2015" in Quality Management System from TUV India Pvt. Ltd. in September 2020, "Certification of Lean Six Sigma White Belt" from LEAP in May 2019, "Certification of Six Sigma Champions" from SSA Business Solutions (P) Ltd in July 2018. Furthermore, Dr. Vasudevan has obtained certifications in various other areas such as "Halal Internal Auditor - Certified Halal Compliance Professional Training Program" from Halal India in March 2015, "Internal Auditor as per ISO 22000:2005" in Food Safety Management System from TUV SUD in January 2015, and "Internal Lead Auditor as per ISO 9001:2008 (QMS)" from Biocon in March 2013.
