John Rind

Senior Client Success Manager at Bottlecapps

"He learned just about everything he know in Lubbock, Texas.” This is how John explains his smarts. Lubbock, a city of 256,000 located in northwestern Texas is ecologically part of the southern end of the High Plains. And High Plains Drifter, starring Clint Eastwood, is a pretty darn good movie. However, John ain’t no Clint Eastwood, and Texas Tech can’t be a school for brainiacs because, well, it’s located in the middle of nowhere, Texas, although it does have a campus in Costa Rica, which is very cool. Great surfing down there. But, if John learned just about everything he knows in his four years in Lubbock…well, that leaves a lot of years with no learning, right? And this may be why he still doesn’t know what he wants to be when he grows up.

Other than to learn everything he knows, why did a kid from Plano, Texas head out to Texas Tech in the first place? His buddies – he had five friends saddle up and head out west with him and his dad had also gone there, so good on him for carrying on a small family tradition. After graduation, John immediately started working at BottleCapps as part of the sales team (John prefers the title: Sales Executive). Sales is not for everyone. It’s hard. But John loves his job and its importance. “The customers might not have heard of us if it wasn’t for the sales team,” he explains. And he’s right. Sales is important in getting the name out and in getting customers in.
