Nationally Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist at Boulder Care

April Ruthig is currently serving as an MSW Advanced Standing Intern at ACCESS - Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services and as a Board Member for MAADAC, The Michigan Association for Addiction Professionals. With a background as a Nationally Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist at Boulder Care since January 2022, April utilizes personal lived experience with addiction to support individuals in an online Medicated Assisted Treatment Program. Previous roles include a BSW Intern at Growth Works and a Certified Peer Recovery Coach Supervisor at Personalized Nursing Lighthouse. April is pursuing a Master of Social Work degree at Wayne State University, expected to be completed in May 2025, and holds an Associate of Science degree from Schoolcraft College.
