Jaclyn Pata Smith, LCPC, NCC

Jaclyn Pata Smith, LCPC, NCC has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Jaclyn is the Founder and Child Advocate at Conscious Learning Project, where they design and implements individual programs for diverse learners, including child advocacy, academic targeted intervention, social-emotional learning, and positive behavior modification. Jaclyn also provides 1:1 lessons and regular feedback to parents. Additionally, Jaclyn works as an Educational Relocation Consultant, offering their extensive knowledge of international, private, and public school systems to help international families make important decisions about their children's schooling. Previously, they served as the Student Support Coordinator and Consultant at Boundless Life, Director of Student Support & Counseling at TASIS Portugal, and Learning Support Coordinator at CAISL - Carlucci American International School of Lisbon. In these roles, they supported students academically and socially-emotionally, generated individualized education plans, and collaborated with various stakeholders. Prior to that, Jaclyn worked as an Elementary School Counselor at Stonegate Elementary School, where they provided comprehensive counseling services. Jaclyn also has experience as an Elementary Classroom Teacher at CAISL and Fields Road Elementary School, where they implemented inclusive instructional practices and differentiated lessons for diverse learners.

Jaclyn Pata Smith, LCPC, NCC has a Master of Science degree in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from The Johns Hopkins University, which they obtained from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and Literature from the University of Maryland, from 2001 to 2004. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications including the National Certified Counselor (NCC) certification from The National Board for Certified Counselors in September 2010, Certified School Counselor At-Risk Youth, K-12 certification from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) in June 2010, and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) certification from the Maryland Department of Health in May 2010. Jaclyn also holds a Pupil Personnel Worker Credential (PPW) certification from Montgomery County Public Schools obtained in July 2009. Furthermore, they have obtained certifications in School Counselor, K-12 Certification from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) in June 2009, Reading and Special Education Ancillary Certificate, K-8 from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) in April 2004, and Teacher, PreK-8 Certification from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), obtained in 2004.
