Zvi Hayouka has a diverse work experience spanning various academic institutions and roles. Zvi has been associated with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem since 2014, where they served as the Vice Dean for Research and a Senior lecturer. Zvi'sresearch focused on developing novel antimicrobial agents for food applications, addressing the challenges of food safety and quality. In 2019, they became an Associate Professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, continuing their work in the field of agriculture.

In addition to their academic pursuits, Zvi Hayouka has also been involved in entrepreneurial ventures. Zvi co-founded Bountica in 2021 and Prevera in 2020, where they serve as a Co-Founder and Scientific Advisor. These roles highlight their expertise in scientific innovation and advisory capacities.

Zvi Hayouka's research experience extends beyond Israel. Zvi was a Postdoctoral Fulbright Fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, working with Prof. Samuel Gellman. Zvi'sresearch during this period focused on the synthesis and evaluation of peptide mixtures with antibacterial properties.

Prior to their academic career, Zvi Hayouka worked as a Teacher at Azrieli - College of Engineering Jerusalem from 2009 to 2012. Zvi also engaged in postdoctoral study with Prof. Oded Meyuhas at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem - Hadassah from 2010 to 2011.

Zvi Hayouka has an extensive education history in the field of chemistry and biochemistry. Zvi began their academic journey in 2001 at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry and Biology in 2004. After completing their undergraduate studies, Zvi continued their education at the same institution and pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry from 2004 to 2005. Zvi further advanced their knowledge and expertise by enrolling in a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in Biophysical Chemistry and Biochemistry at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 2005 to 2010. Zvi's education reflects their dedication to the scientific study of chemistry and biochemistry, with a focus on various subfields such as organic chemistry and biophysical chemistry.
