Jeff Kawalilak

Instructor, Business Administration at BOW VALLEY COLLEGE

Jeff Kawalilak joined the Chiu School of Business in 2007 and is the lead course instructor for the Organizational Behaviour and Introduction to Management courses. He has also taught courses in Interpersonal Communication and Marketing. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and a Master’s in Adult Education with a specialization in Workplace and Adult Learning. Jeff has been a faculty advisor for the Alberta Deans of Business Case Competition for the Chiu School of Business. His teams have placed in the top three in 2013 and 2015. Jeff is also a recipient of the Team Award for his contribution to the Alberta Deans of Business Case Competition hosted by Bow Valley College in 2015.

Jeff believes that we are all lifelong learners first and it is this belief that informs his teaching practice as an adult educator. He is passionate and committed to creating meaningful and challenging learning environments, supporting students as they navigate their learning journey, and providing learning opportunities for students to grow personally and professionally. Jeff recognizes that learning is also acquired informally and incidentally, and not just within a formal classroom context. His teaching practice provides opportunities for students to draw from this broad range of life experience.

Jeff has completed the Instructional Skills Workshop and the Facilitator Development Workshop. As well, he volunteers with several non-profit, Calgary community organizations.
