Lindsey Marofke

Instructor, Business Administration at BOW VALLEY COLLEGE

Lindsey is an experienced accounting professional with a passion for teaching and sharing her knowledge with the next generation of accounting hopefuls. Since joining the Chiu School of Business in 2016, Lindsey has been focused on teaching Accounting and Taxation and developing curriculum in those areas. Students can expect to be challenged in her courses, but will be met with authenticity, guidance, and the tools they need to succeed.

Prior to joining Bow Valley College, Lindsey held a variety of roles with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in their audit and high net worth tax groups. It was there that she discovered her passion for teaching when she was asked to instruct internal courses for staff within the firm. Lindsey was involved in helping to create the Chartered Accountant designation training program through the taxation group at PwC. Her desire to help students expand their skills and achieve their goals led her to teach some post-secondary courses part-time and, ultimately, to Bow Valley College, where she now instructs full time.

Lindsey completed her Bachelor of Management degree at the University of Lethbridge with a major in accounting. She continued on to complete a Master of Professional Accounting at the University of Saskatchewan. Lindsey earned her Chartered Accountant designation in 2007.

When she is not molding and shaping future accounting gurus, Lindsey is busy being a mom to three beautiful children, loves spending time lifting heavy things at the gym, is a mastermind in escape room logic, and bakes a mean sourdough bread.
