Andrew Ellis

Andrew Ellis, M.D., J.D., joined Boxer Capital, LLC in 2018. As Senior Vice President and Head of Compliance, Dr. Ellis is responsible for securities compliance, deal structuring, and conducting due diligence of public and private investments in healthcare.

Prior to joining Boxer, Dr. Ellis was a corporate and securities attorney at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, P.C. in Palo Alto, California, where he worked with life science companies and investors on matters, including initial public offerings and other capital markets transactions, private debt and equity financings, public company representation, mergers and acquisitions, and other general corporate matters.

Dr. Ellis obtained an M.D. and general surgery training at Baylor College of Medicine, a J.D. from New York University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Baylor University.
