Harlan Shober

Project Engineer at BoxPower

Harlan Shober began their career in 2019 as a Physics Mechanics Learning Assistant at Penn State University, where they worked with Dr. Eric Hudson to facilitate student learning of Physics Mechanics. In the same year, they also took on roles as an Electrical Engineer for Penn State Humanitarian Engineering and Social Entrepreneurship (HESE) and a Mechatronics Engineer for Xact Metal. In 2021, they joined PowerGen Renewable Energy as a Business Development and Engineering Intern for the Nigerian Business Unit, where they worked with the Sierra Leone Engineering unit to design a shipping container battery system. Harlan'srole was to develop the final CAD layout and engineering drawings used to build the system. In 2022, they began working as a Project Engineer for BoxPower.

Harlan Shober completed their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Penn State University from 2017 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained their High School Diploma from Chartiers-Houston Junior/Senior High School between 2013 and 2017. Harlan also obtained an Amateur Radio License, Technician Class from W5YI-VEC in February 2022.
