Dan Casner

Vice President, Information Technology at Boys & Girls Clubs of America

Dan Casner has a strong background in information technology, with a focus on infrastructure and systems support. Dan started their career in 1994 as a Systems Operator at the County of Chester, where they gained experience in operating client/server and mainframe computer systems. In 1997, they moved on to Public Health Software Systems, where they worked as an Implementation Engineer and Network Engineer, overseeing the implementation of public health informatics systems and establishing business systems infrastructure.

In 1998, Casner joined Corporate Solutions International as an Implementation Engineer, where they continued to work on infrastructure implementation projects. Dan then became an Independent IT Consultant/Contractor in 1999, providing IT solutions and consulting services to various organizations, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and BellSouth.

Casner eventually joined the Boys & Girls Clubs of America in 2000 as a Network Engineer, and later progressed to the role of Senior Director, IT Engineering. In these roles, they provided leadership in the implementation and support of information technology systems.

In 2012, Casner served as an Interim Leader, Information Technology at the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, where they were responsible for all aspects of the organization's IT systems. Dan then became the Vice President, Information Technology in 2013, where they provided vision and leadership for the organization's IT operations, including data center operations, network engineering, and end-user computing services. Dan also managed the majority of IT operating expenditures and capital investments.

Dan Casner attended RETS Electronic School from 1990 to 1992, where they obtained an Associate degree in Electronic Engineering. During their time at RETS, their field of study included electronics, microcomputer, robotics, and automated system technologies. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Henderson High School from 1986 to 1989, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this period. In addition to their formal education, Dan Casner also obtained two certifications in the field of cloud computing. In 2014, they acquired the Cloud+ certification from CompTIA and the Cloud Computing Foundation Certificate from EXIN, further expanding their knowledge in the field.
