Shernā Phillips

Shernā "Dr. Nae" Phillips, Ph.D., currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Marketing & Communications at Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta since April 2021 and previously held the position of Vice President of Marketing and Communications. In addition, Shernā has been an English Instructor at Spelman College since January 2020. Prior experience includes roles as Communications and Public Engagement Officer for Atlanta Public Schools, Adjunct English Instructor at Georgia Gwinnett College, and Assistant Director of Communications at Johns Hopkins Medicine. Early career highlights include serving as a Web Producer at WJZ | CBS Baltimore and as an Editorial Assistant at both Johns Hopkins University and Patuxent Publishing. Shernā holds a Ph.D. in English from Morgan State University, an MS in Writing from Towson University, and a BA in Journalism from Penn State University.
