Sophia A. Quintero, MPH, CHES has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Sophia A. currently works as a Community Outreach and Research Recruitment Coordinator for IHN at Boys Town National Research Hospital, where they identify and pursues partnerships with community organizations to encourage enthusiasm about science and recruits participants for research studies.

Prior to this, Sophia served as an On-Call Culinary Specialist at Whispering Roots, where they provided nutrition education in Spanish to families in the Hispanic community, and as a Community Outreach Coordinator at Healthy Housing Omaha, where they planned outreach events, supervised research students, and assisted with grant writing.

Sophia A. Quintero, MPH, CHES has a diverse educational background in the field of public health and health promotion. Sophia A. obtained their Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a focus on Health Promotion from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2020. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Foods and Nutrition at San Diego State University in 2018. During their undergraduate studies, they also pursued a minor in Public Health at the same institution.

Sophia's education journey started at Grossmont College, where they earned an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences in 2013. Concurrently, they also attained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Spanish from the same institution in 2013. Before attending Grossmont College, they completed their high school education at Hilltop Senior High, receiving their High School Diploma in 2009.

In addition to their academic achievements, Sophia has acquired several certifications to enhance their professional skills. Sophia A. became a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) in April 2022 through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. In May 2021, they obtained a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education. Sophia also holds a Lead Renovator (RRP) Initial Certification from the Midwest Training Institute, which they obtained in October 2020.
