Tiana Cowan

Tiana Cowan, PhD, CCC-SLP, is a Research Scientist I at Boys Town National Research Hospital, focusing on quantitative and mixed-method assessments of bilingualism and hearing loss effects on speech recognition in challenging listening environments. Tiana's previous experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at Penn State University, where skills in developing research methodologies and managing projects were honed. In addition to research, Tiana has teaching experience as an Instructor of Record and a Teaching Assistant, enhancing pedagogy in the assessment and treatment of language disorders. Early career positions as a Speech Language Pathologist involved providing therapy services and educational programs in various settings. Tiana holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Penn State University, as well as a Master's and Bachelor's degree in the same field from the University of Houston and Penn State University, respectively.
