Stewart Draper

Stewart Draper has been in the information security space for over 15 years. During this time he has been able to demonstrate strong business acumen whilst driving forward security strategies as a business enabler. The ability to maintain an executive presence before a board or C-suite level executives is critical to the success of a security executive, Stewart has demonstrated this in a number of roles and positions that he has maintained.

Information security requires continuous learning, new technologies, new threat types, new vulnerabilities, and more complex problems to solve. Stewart has shown all of the qualities of a security leader in how he has been able to adapt to an ever-changing security environment. Stewart was responsible for one of the largest institutes “must-win battle” 3 years in a row, a challenge that spanned 120 countries and over 300 workers in size. A truly complex effort on a global scale that included endless complexities associated with privacy, legal and compliance requirements.

Stewart has successfully managed both small and large groups of employees ranging from 5 through as many as 40 workers where the task of understanding the technical requirements is just as critical as the translation of technology to business requirements. During those 15 years, Stewart has been responsible for globally impactful enterprise technology solutions with a cost as high as 50MM.

Stewart has been recognized by 2018 SC Magazine as an “Influencer of the year” award for his work in insider threat, awarded the 2018 “insider threat deployment of the year” by a security company for the program he built at a large financial institution and a subject matter expert by publishing over 10 whitepapers and security event article contributions including USA Today, Global News Wire and information security magazine. Stewart has educated Congress members on the topic of insider threat and spoken at prestigious conferences such as RSA, CISO Summit, Gartner Security, HP Protect, and many others.
