Megan Simmons

Partner Manager, Team Lead DBS at Brainlab

Megan Simmons has a diverse range of work experience. Megan started their career as a Physics Coach at Syracuse University's Physics Department, where they provided assistance to students with assignments and exam preparation. Megan then worked as a Pathfinder at L.C. Smith College of Engineering & Computer Science PRIDE Programs, serving as a peer advisor for first-year and transfer students.

Megan later joined Bioengineer Capstone Design, where they worked on a team to design a loading frame for biomechanical testing of calcaneal fractures. Megan was also responsible for sensor integration and location identification of pressure within the subtalar joint.

Additionally, Megan had a spring internship at Glottal Enterprises Inc, conducting a study to reduce nasality in the voices of speaking, hearing-impaired participants.

Most recently, Megan has been with Brainlab since 2014. Megan started as an Application Consultant and eventually became a Senior Application Consultant. In their role, they provided on-site consultation and guidance for DBS surgery, led sales demonstrations, and collaborated on market transparency and clinical research initiatives. Megan currently serves as a Partner Manager, Team Lead DBS, responsible for maximizing Brainlab's Elements usage during Boston Scientific's lead implantations.

Megan Simmons attended Union City Area High School from 2006 to 2010. Megan received their high school diploma during this time. Following their high school graduation, Megan Simmons went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at Syracuse University. Megan studied at Syracuse University from 2010 to 2014 and successfully obtained their degree in the aforementioned field of study.
