Job Title: CRO QA Engineer

Location: Bengaluru

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled CRO QA Engineer to join our team. The CRO QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and effectiveness of conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives through rigorous testing and validation. The role involves collaborating closely with the CRO team, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all changes and experiments are implemented correctly and perform as expected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance of CRO Initiatives:
  • Conduct thorough testing of CRO experiments, including A/B tests, multivariate tests, and personalization campaigns.
  • Ensure all CRO implementations meet functional, visual, and performance criteria.
  • Conduct exploratory testing, UI, and site performance tests
  • Validate the accuracy of tracking and analytics implementation for CRO activities.
  • Test Planning and Execution:
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for CRO experiments.
  • Execute manual/automated testing across different browsers, browser stack, devices, and platforms.
  • Identify, document, and report bugs, inconsistencies, and performance issues.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with CRO strategists,CRO developers, and designers to understand the scope and requirements of each CRO initiative.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Optimization and Best Practices:
  • Provide feedback on CRO strategies based on testing outcomes and data analysis.
  • Suggest improvements to QA processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in CRO and QA.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, testing procedures, and test results.
  • Prepare and present QA reports, highlighting key findings, issues, and recommendations.
  • Track and document the lifecycle of bugs and issues from discovery to resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Experience:
  • Proven experience in quality assurance, with a focus on testing web applications, preferably in a CRO context.
  • Hands on experience with tools like Omnibug, GA4 Debugger and Chrome DevTools 
  • Experience with A/B testing platforms (e.g., Optimizely, Target, VWO, Convert) and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and content management systems (CMS).
  • A clear understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Exposure to agile software development methodologies

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks is a plus (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
  • Understanding of user experience (UX) principles and how they relate to CRO.
  • Understanding of digital marketing, website user experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in quality assurance or CRO-related fields.
  • Experience in agile development environments.
