Charles Barr

Advisor at Brainome

Charles Barr is currently an advisor at Brainome, and was previously with Unlock and Sophic Alliance Inc. Charles has also worked as a scientific advisor with the PhRMA Foundation, where they were a member of the Value Assessment Committee that reviewed scientific proposals for research grants, institutional awards for centers of excellence, and challenge grants. In addition to their work with the PhRMA Foundation, Barr has also been a project co-investigator with Sean Tunis and Lou Garrison on the development of white papers on the conceptual foundations of Patient-Centered Outcomes (PCOs) to inform decision making by healthcare stakeholders. Charles has also been the lead project manager on the Clinical Trial Diversity Initiative, researching and developing three alternative programs for consideration by the PhRMA Foundation Board of Directors.

Charles Barr is currently a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) student at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, with a major in Biomedical Computing and minors in Biostatistics and Health Policy & Management. Charles is also a Research Fellow with the Decision Systems Group at Brigham & Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Prior to this, they obtained their MD and MPH from Loma Linda University, and their BS from Pacific Union College.
