Josh Carey

Josh Carey has a diverse work experience in the animation industry. In 2003, they began as a Freelance Artist, working on various projects. Josh co-founded Rigging Dojo in 2009 and worked there until 2011. Josh also worked as a Freelance Rigging artist for Buck.tv, Frame, and Duckling A/S in 2011. From 2007 to 2016, they held the position of Rigging Dept Supervisor at Reel FX Creative Studios, where they worked on numerous projects including the Book of Life and Looney Tunes Shorts. In 2013, they taught at Anomalia, and in 2014, they taught rigging at The Animation Workshop, VIA University College. In 2017, Josh became the Head of Technology at Brazen Animation.

Josh Carey attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1997 to 1999, where they studied Computer Science. Following this, they enrolled at The Art Institutes from 2000 to 2003 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Media Arts and Animation.
