Mitch Bleske

Chief Operating Officer at Bremer Financial Corporation

As Chief Operating Officer, Mitch Bleske is responsible for all financial management activities, including financial and regulatory reporting, management of interest rate risk, liquidity, capital, wholesale funding and investments. In addition, Mitch has executive oversight of Bremer’s commercial, agriculture, mortgage, insurance and wealth management teams. As a direct result of his business insights and financial expertise, Bremer has pursued new lines of business and customer-focused strategies that are propelling profitable growth.

Prior to joining Bremer in 2013, Mitch was Treasurer and an executive committee member for Trustmark National Bank, located in Jackson, MS. He has also worked at United Community Banks where he was Senior Vice President, Director of Capital Markets and Treasurer, and at U.S. Bancorp, where he held several treasury roles including derivatives, fixed income portfolio management and balance sheet risk management. Mitch graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics and earned his master’s in business administration from the University of St. Thomas.

Mitch is actively involved in the community, serving on the board of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, and working with the Midwest Rett Syndrome Foundation, whose mission is to fund research for treatments and a cure for Rett syndrome while enhancing the overall quality of life for those living with the disorder. Mitch and his wife, Erin, have four children, one of whom was diagnosed with Rett syndrome at the age of 3.
