Douglas Keith

Senior Counsel, Judiciary Program at Brennan Center for Justice

Douglas Keith is an accomplished legal professional currently serving as Senior Counsel in the Judiciary Program and previously as Counsel and Katz Fellow in the Democracy Program at the Brennan Center for Justice since September 2015. Keith's experience includes an internship in the Counsel's Office at the White House, a Ford Foundation Public Interest Law Fellowship at the Advancement Project, and a legal internship with the Moreland Commission to Investigate Public Corruption. Keith has also held positions with the New York Civil Liberties Union and as a Research Fellow at International IDEA, where significant contributions included drafting the fundamental rights chapter of a constitution-drafting manual for Libya. In the electoral space, Keith served as both long-term and short-term election observer in various international settings and directed operations for the New York Democratic Lawyers Council. Prior to political involvement, Keith managed volunteer efforts for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy Studies from Duke University.
