Prior to Brennan Industries, they held the role of Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary at CoreCivic, a real estate investment trust specializing in correctional facilities. Scott also served as the General Counsel for Associated Estates Realty Corp, a real estate investment trust, and as the Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary for Buffets, Inc., the largest buffet-style restaurant company in the United States. Scott Irwin's experience also includes roles as the Chief Counsel at the International Paper Company and as a Partner at Baker Hostetler LLP, a major U.S. law firm. Scott began their career as an Associate at Foley & Lardner LLP.
Scott Irwin attended Kent State University from 1985 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. After completing their undergraduate studies, they enrolled at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law from 1989 to 1992. There, they earned a Juris Doctor (JD) degree with a focus on Corporate and Tax Law.
