Armin Hekele

Armin Hekele serves as the Head of Virology and Molecular Biology at BridgeBio since December 2019. Previously, Hekele held the position of Director of Molecular Biology and Senior Scientist at Precision BioSciences, Inc., from September 2015 to November 2019. Prior roles include Senior Scientist at GSK, focusing on RNA vaccine drug substance process development, and Novartis Vaccines, where Hekele was involved in upstream process development and the development of a novel vaccine delivery platform. Hekele's early career features significant roles at the University of California, San Francisco, Iguazu Biosciences, Micromet AG, Roche Diagnostics, and the German Cancer Research Center, with a strong foundation in immunology and cancer biology, earning a Ph.D. from the University of Karlsruhe and an M.Sc. from the University of Wuerzburg.
