Ashlyn Poppe has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their role as a Lloyd Meeds Public Policy Fellow at K&L Gates in 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Department of National Affairs and Political Engagement Team Member in the Notre Dame Student Government. In 2021, they were involved with BridgeUSA, where they held multiple positions including President, Vice President, Director of Operations, and Member. Ashlyn also gained experience as a Production Assistant and Executive Board Member & Political Liaison at Notre Dame Television. In 2023, they interned at The White House. Additionally, Ashlyn worked as a Political Science Research Assistant and Office of Admissions Outreach and Programming Intern at the University of Notre Dame. Ashlyn was also involved with the Kellogg Institute for International Studies as a Dorm Representative, Research Scholar, and Human Development Conference Multimedia Co-Chair. Ashlyn gained legislative experience as a Legislative Intern for the State of New Jersey and worked as a Research Assistant for the COVID Border Accountability Project. Ashlyn also served as a Peer Advisor at the University of Notre Dame.
Ashlyn Poppe completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Global Affairs from the Keough School of Global Affairs from 2021 to 2025. In 2022, they also had a brief educational experience at the Notre Dame London Global Gateway. Prior to their undergraduate studies, Ashlyn attended Indian Hills High School from 2017 to 2021 for their secondary education.
