Brad Burris

VP, Land at Brigham Minerals

As Vice President of Land at Brigham Minerals, Brad is responsible for negotiating, drafting, and reviewing the critical documents for mineral acquisitions as well as giving final title approval on all mineral and royalty acquisitions. Additionally, Brad oversees Brigham’s Division Order group. Brad is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Landmen and the Texas State Bar and has fourteen years of land experience in varying roles of increasing responsibility in both conventional and unconventional basins.

Prior to joining Brigham, Brad worked at Hilcorp Energy Company in the Eagle Ford Shale, Utica Shale, and conventional Texas assets. Brad was a critical player in Hilcorp’s divestiture of its Eagle Ford asset to Marathon Oil Company and managed the purchase of over 200 miles of right-of-way in the Eagle Ford which ultimately resulted in an investment by GE. Brad’s career began at BP America Production Company where he worked several conventional assets in both Texas and Oklahoma.

Brad received his Juris Doctorate from The University of Texas School of Law and his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from Texas A&M University.
