Russell Thacker

Russell Thacker, PhD, currently serves as the Director of Legacy Academy of Idaho, where innovative faith-building learning methods are implemented for over 300 students in the Treasure Valley. Additionally, Russell is an Online Instructor at Brigham Young University - Idaho, teaching communication and public speaking courses to a global audience. As a columnist for HigherEdJobs, Russell writes about education innovation and leadership, while previously holding the position of Adjunct Professor at the University of Idaho, where a service-learning class was developed for master's students in instructional design. With extensive experience at National Defense University, Russell directed educational programs and developed a continuing education initiative for international military leaders. Russell's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Brigham Young University, a Master of Public Administration from The George Washington University, and a PhD in Education from the University of Idaho.
