Taiga Shirai

Taiga Shirai is an experienced energy analyst currently working at Bright Power, Inc. since February 2023. Previously, Taiga served as a sustainability analyst at Gables Residential, where key performance indicators were extracted from ENERGYSTAR Portfolio Manager datasets for GRESB reporting and corporate citizenship reporting, resulting in the certification of 15 IREM projects and enhanced investor relations. At the University of Michigan's Ecotoxicology Research Lab, extensive experience in fieldwork and laboratory analysis was gained, including assessing contaminated sites and conducting water analysis with ICP-OES. Additionally, Taiga conducted research on endangered bat activity in New Zealand as a research assistant with EcoQuest Education Foundation. Taiga holds a Master of Management degree from the University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Geology/Environmental Science from the same institution.
