Preeti Subramanian

Preeti Subramanian is currently the Director of Scientific Programs in Vision Science at BrightFocus Foundation. Previously, she worked at the National Eye Institute as a Research Scientist and held various titles in research positions at Kelly Services, Virginia Commonwealth University, and the University of Mumbai. Preeti's research interests focus on understanding the neuroprotective action of pigment epithelium-derived factor (PEDF) and studying the mechanism of activation of cytosolic phospholipase A2 alpha (cPLA2) by ceramide-1-phosphate (C1P). She holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University.
