Mary Ann Asson-Batres

Mary Ann Asson-Batres is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research, education, and program administration. Currently seeking a new position, Mary Ann has served as a Staff Scientist at Maine Medical Center Research Institute since 2018 and previously held roles such as Program Administrator, Researcher, and Tenured Professor. Mary Ann coordinated grants at Central Oregon Community College from 2016 to 2018 and enjoyed a long tenure at Tennessee State University as a Professor in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Additionally, Mary Ann contributed as a Rotating Program Director at the National Science Foundation and completed postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Washington and RS Dow Neurological Sciences Institute. Mary Ann holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Oregon Health & Science University, an MS in Marine Ecology from the University of Oregon, a MAT in Biology from the University of Chicago, and a BS in Biology from the University of Portland.
