Jay Matushak

Jay serves as a Senior Vice President at Bright Health, responsible for the rundown of the Individual and Family Plan insurance business as well as the company’s Medicare Advantage business outside of California. Jay is a seasoned finance and operational executive with deep expertise in the insurance business. As the lead of the rundown operations, Jay works to ensure the company can fulfill its obligations to consumers, providers, and other stakeholders across the lines of business the company is exiting.

Before joining Bright Health, Jay served for six years as CFO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota (BCBS MN). Prior to BCBS MN, Jay spent fifteen years at UnitedHealth Group in various financial leadership roles within Optum and UnitedHealthcare.

Jay holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
