Vanessa Tafoya-Smith

Vanessa Tafoya-Smith is an accomplished leader in technology and transformation management, currently serving as Vice President and Head of Technology Shared Services at Brighthouse Financial since June 2016. Prior to this role, Vanessa held various positions at MetLife from June 2003 to June 2016, including Assistant Vice President of the U.S. Business Separation Management Office and Assistant Vice President of CAO Engagement & Program Delivery. In these positions, Vanessa managed separation activities and drove change through sustainable solutions across the Americas and Operations organizations. Vanessa Tafoya-Smith holds degrees in Business Administration and Management, as well as Political Science and Government, from the University of Colorado Boulder, where studies were completed from 2003 to 2007.
