Eric Van Dyn Hoven

Eric Van Dyn Hoven has over seven years of work experience in the technology industry. Since 2020, they have been a Senior Engineer at Bright Live. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2020, they were a Software Engineer at Wildebeest Design & Development, where they managed a team of engineers on a variety of mobile and web applications while engineering simultaneously. Eric was also the lead engineer on multiple React and Wordpress projects, and was responsible for strategizing and developing data models and wireframes before the development phase. From 2013 to 2017, Eric worked at Lionsgate as a Digital Asset Coordinator and Post Production Assistant. As a Digital Asset Coordinator, they securely outputted DNX/Quicktime files from Avid Media Composer for high profile screenings, developed invisible watermarks and burn ins to securely identify individual DCPs for various vendors, and managed and distributed all digital assets for wrapped films. As a Post Production Assistant, they managed and distributed editor roster sheets to executive management, created and quality checked Digital Cinema Packages in house for high profile screenings, and organized all digital assets for wrapped films.

Eric Van Dyn Hoven has a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production from Loyola Marymount University, which they completed from 2011 to 2013. In 2017, they attended General Assembly for a Web Development Immersive program. Eric also attended University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2008 to 2010, studying Film/Cinema/Video Studies.
