Thomas Lokkesmoe

Thomas Lokkesmoe is an experienced educator and entrepreneur, currently serving as the Assistant Varsity Track & Field Coach at Bloomington Jefferson High School and as a Math and Science Instructor at Brightmont Academy, where instruction caters to students with learning challenges. With a background in engineering, Thomas has held roles such as Systems Engineer at Collins Aerospace and Design Engineer at Purdue University, where projects ranged from avionics software testing to designing payloads for sub-orbital flights. Additional experience includes leading after-school adventure programs at Active Solutions and conducting research with the Minnesota Space Grant Consortium. Thomas holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University and has contributed to youth development through roles at YMCA and as a Teacher’s Assistant at Bethel University.
