Chris Handwerk

Chris Handwerk has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries. Chris is currently the Vice President of Origination at BrightNight. Prior to that, they held various leadership roles at Constellation, including Vice President of Commercial Strategy, Managing Director of Strategy Development and Execution, Managing Director of Strategic Transactions, Manager of Strategic Transactions, and Lead Strategy Analyst. Before joining Constellation, Chris worked at Exelon Power Team as a Commercial Transactor and Senior Quantitative Analyst, where they successfully implemented a long-term valuation methodology. Chris also gained experience as an Associate at DC Energy. Chris began their career as a Submarine Junior Officer in the U.S. Navy.

Chris Handwerk attended the United States Naval Academy from 1992 to 1996, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering. Chris then pursued further education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, completing a Dual SM from 1996 to 1998. The Dual SM consisted of two fields of study: Nuclear Engineering and Technology and Policy. Later, from 2004 to 2007, Chris Handwerk obtained a PhD in Nuclear Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
