Jennifer A. has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Jennifer started their career as a Research Intern at the Center for Environmentally Benign Semiconductor Manufacturing, where they conducted studies on bioremediation of metals in wastewater. Jennifer then worked as a Washington Conservation Corps member, focusing on salmon habitat restoration.

Jennifer later joined Honeywell as an Engineer/Scientist I, conducting research and development in biofuels and petrochemical processing technology. Jennifer progressed to the position of Engineer/Scientist II and took on additional responsibilities such as lab-scale pilot plant construction and operation.

After their time at Honeywell, Jennifer became a Community Health Nurse Intern at Compassionate Care Network. Jennifer then transitioned to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where they worked as a Registered Nurse in the Clinical Resource Unit and floated to various departments, providing bedside nursing care and conducting patient assessments.

Most recently, Jennifer joined BrightStar Care as a Home Health Nurse.

Jennifer A. started their education at Maine East High School from 1994 to 1998. Jennifer obtained their Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University, attending from 1998 to 2002. Jennifer later pursued a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse at DePaul University, where they studied from 2018 to 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Jennifer has obtained several certifications. In 2003, they completed the Wilderness/Remote Location First Aid course offered by NOLS Wilderness Medicine. In 2007, they received the Six Sigma Green Belt Core certification from the International Association for Six Sigma Certification. In 2018, they completed the Mental Health First Aid training provided by Mental Health First Aid USA. Jennifer has also obtained various medical certifications, including CPR-BLS provider (adult and pediatric) from the American Heart Association in 2018 and the NIH stroke scale (NIHSS) certification from NIH Stroke Scale International in 2019. Moreover, they have certifications in Pet CPR from Community Animal Rescue Effort C.A.R.E in 2019 and in Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) human subjects research from the CITI program in 2019.

Furthermore, Jennifer recently obtained their Registered Nurse certification from the FINANCIAL AND PROFESSIONAL REGULATION, ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF in June 2020.
